Purebase is a byproduct of a lifelong passion for athletics, health, and food. As college hockey players, we continue to experience rigorous training schedules. Although we both majored in economics, it seemed as though we had formal coursework in crafting protein shakes. Before long, we had experimented our way to creating a fudge pop that tasted great, and had an ideal nutritional profile. Our teammates got hooked, and we were forced to lock our freezers.

We strongly believe that everyone can eat healthy and live out an active lifestyle. Traditional ice cream products are notoriously high in fat and processed sugar. It's no surprise that the prevalence of these products leads to a country with alarming obesity rates. Purebase is proof that food can taste great, and be foundational to a healthier life.
